I recently went on a hike in the Santa Monica Mountains in April to look for spring wildflowers. I took a picture of each type of flower I saw along teh way plus a California King Snake and Western Fence Lizard. I counted 57 differnt species of flowers in just a few miles. The area is constists of chapparal.
